There are many environmental challenges which society and organisations have to respond to:

Climate change. Global average temperatures are rising and by 100 are still expected to be 3°C above pre-industrial levels. This will have unintended consequences to nature, society and companies.

Biodiversity and conservation. The Earth is losing its biodiversity the most depressing rate imaginable. One in five species on Earth now faces extinction.

Energy and resource use. Global demand for energy resources continue to grow at a rate beyond natural replenishment and resource availability.

Clean air. Around 92% of the world’s people live in places with less than acceptable air quality levels.

Water. Over 663 million people in the world still lack access to improved drinking water sources this is despite over use in many countries.
